Here we go with Part 2 of this awesome freakshow that is the Tokyo Auto Salon! If you’ve missed it, Part 1 is !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! ! Enjoy!
Mr Kota’s Alpine, a famous Alpine and rotary collector living in my prefecture. He lended this M63 to Dunlop for the show.
A classy car, according to Donald Trump.
I’m not sure what to think about Liberty Walk anymore... For a long time I thought it was idiotic and bonkers, but some of those things are actually pretty nice. This Fairlady Z for exemple, I’d take with great pleasure!
One of the rare male model, representing Gazoo Racing. He spent all day showing off his guns and seemed to really enjoy it!!
Yup, if you thought this museum condition R32 GTr had ultra low mileage, you’re wrong. 50000km on the clock!
All day, wearing this and smiling. No thank you...
Again, not sure what to think with that thing... It’s ugly and attractive at the same time. Weird.
All this weight reduction for a car equipped with a 90's automatic transmission. That’s the Tokyo Auto Salon in one single picture ladies and gentlemen!
If you ever wondered how it felt living in a submarine during the cold war, you can drive this...
To finish with a $kaybait of course!
And just in case you’re wondering, yes, there will be a part 3 next week end!

We have surprisingly little crossover. Like four cars, maybe. I’ve got an entire post for the Gundam Auris booth coming up, though.

I know, we have radically different tastes in cars :)
What you really don’t like make me laugh and therefore gets my interest and I think you don’t care that much about what I really enjoy haha
And I was pretty damn certain you would do a piece on the Auris haha. Did you play with the sound panel behind the booth??

The Alpine, the Can-Am and the R380 as far as I’m concerned :)

These are the times when you need picture notes.
That, though? I want all that. Yeah, the entire setup. The whole thing.
Also... remember when we made race tracks using that Gmap app? That S-FR racer would certainly fit.

Lexus booth :)
Pretty fucking awesome really. A couple hundred cars free rolling down a long track road and going back up to the top thanks to a magnet. Really, really cool!

Did you see anyone grab a few?
And, no, really, I want that S-FR. That, or a road-going version that’s 65% race car, like the 911 RS.

Nah, we’re in Japan, that would never happen here :)
My wife lost her wallet with cash in it in the train a couple of years ago... There was like 200$ in it. A couple hours after getting back home, she got a call from the train company, as someone had brought her wallet back to them. They shipped it to her via express mail, she got it the next the day and all the cash was still inside.
I was astonished! She only told me: “Honey, we’re in Japan, not in France, it’s normal”
So, nope, nobody took any little cars :)

I still don’t quite get those lug nut extensions. Are those lug nuts actually that long or are those caps attached to the top?
And is that Monster Aventador Daigo Saito’s next car or something?
